Mitco and USFS announce the formation of a new strategic alliance to expand their fulfillment capabilities and geographic coverage to best accommodate the rapidly changing retail sector and shift to ecommerce marketplace.
Bill Burbank, Mitco Director of Business Development comments, “In working together, we achieve a more robust presence on a national scale and into the large density markets. This will allow our customers to maximize inventory efficiency and improve the overall customer experience.”
With facilities in Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA, and Covington VA, the NFA allows for improved inventory and replenishment strategies by balancing inventories and expanding last mile coverage to key markets on both coasts. Combined, Mitco and USFS operate over 800,000 square feet of warehousing and many decades’ experience in the logistics business.
The formation of NFA allows its members to collaborate to develop solutions for brands working to meet the surging and increasingly complex demands of B2B and B2C fulfillment. Successful brands need fulfillment partners who understand their unique needs and are invested in their profitable growth. Members of the NFA will have the scale and resources of a national firm while retaining the personal attention and service of a customer-centric firm.
Phillip C. Essig, President & CEO of USFS, said “The National Fulfillment Alliance is a flexible and scalable way for Mitco and USFS to combine their expertise, technologies, and people to provide unparalleled nationwide service to our clients. Mitco’s proven capabilities and its focus on excellence and servicing customer needs make it the right partner with USFS to founding members of the Alliance.”
